Rajasthan Desert Safari Tour
Day 01: Delhi Arrival and Sightseeing
Today on arrival at Delhi Airport / Station you will be met and welcomed and we will take you to your pre booked Hotel in Delhi. After some rest we will .We will start the Tour with New Delhi, Visiting such sights as Humayun’s Tomb (1586), The Qutab Minar 72 meters high and one of the most perfect towers in the Persian world. The Iron Pillar which has survived the vagaries of weather for over 1500 years. We cross the city and into the walled gates of the Old city with visits to the Jamma Mosque (1650) and drive through the fabled area of Chandni Chowk (aptly translates to Moonlight Square) where the throngs of shoppers and vendors meet in the oldest area of Delhi. Visit Raj Ghat and nearby ghats where the founder of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi and thereafter Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi were cremated.Continue with a drive through Embassy area, the Government buildings (1921-1930) and Connaught Place, the heart and main shopping district of the capital. Overnight at Delhi.
Day 02: Delhi - Mandawa (270 kms/6-7 hrs)
After heart breakfast at the hotel, drive to Mandawa located in the heart of Shekhawati region of Rajasthan, India. Upon arrival in Mandawa you will be met by Royal Indian Tour representative and transferred to your hotel for check in. In the afternoon, visit the village with colorful frescoed mansions, temples and charming little shops. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 03: Mandawa - Bikaner (164 kms/4-5 hrs)
After hearty breakfast at the hotel, drive to Bikaner, a desert town surrounded by a high wall, which was once an important staging post on the great caravan routes. Upon arrival in Bikaner, you will be greeted by Royal Indian Tour representative and transferred to the hotel for check in. In the afternoon, visit the village, forts and havelis. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 04: Bikaner - Jaisalmer (330 km/ 6-7 hrs)
After hearty breakfast at the hotel, drive to Jaisalmer situated in the Thar Desert of Rajasthan, India. Upon arrival in Jaisalmer, Royal Indian Tour representative will assist you to transfer you to the hotel for check in. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 05: Jaisalmer
After relaxed breakfast at the hotel, visit the 800-year old sandstone fort (Jaisalmer Fort) that dominates the entire town with its presence atop the Trikuta hill, the Jain temples dating back to the 12th and 15th centuries and unique mansions with stone-carved facades with delicate sculptures, stone lattices and dainty little balconies. Enjoy a camel safari to Sam Sand Dunes up to sunset point. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 06: Jaisalmer - Jodhpur (300 km /6-7 hrs)
After an early morning breakfast, on arrival check in to the hotel. Take an afternoon jeep safari to the picturesque Bishnoi villages to experience rustic Rajasthani life. The drive through the countryside abounds with black bucks and chinkaras (a species of gazelle) grazing serenely and migratory birds dot the skies. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 07: Jodhpur Sightseeing
After hearty breakfast at the hotel we will visit the majestic Mehrangarh Fort. Upon arrival in the Sun City – Jodhpur. In the evening visit the majestic Mehrangarh Fort and the Jaswant Thad which harbors the royal cenotaphs. Also visit the elegant Umaid Bhawan Palace now turned into a palace hotel and Mandore Gardens. Don’t miss to explore Sardar Market which provides you a glorious opportunity to purchase exquisite handicrafts and beautiful Rajasthani jewellery. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 08: Jodhpur to Jaipur
Today after breakfast drive to Jaipur, upon arrival, check into your pre booked hotel. After some rest we will visit Hawa Mahal and Birla Temple then Evening visit Choki Dhani for traditional Rajasthani dinner (Optional). Overnight stay at hotel in Jaipur.
Day 09: Jaipur Sightseeing ( Pink City )
Morning tour of the impressive Amber Fort, situated on a ridge just outside Jaipur City. At the foot of the hill you will mount your caparisoned elephant ride for the slow but steady climb up to the main gate, making your entrance in the time honoured fashion. The Fort, completed in the early 18th century, took over 100 years to build and now, although deserted, offers a fascinating insight into the lifestyle of the Moghul ruling families. Afternoon city tour of Jaipur - "The Pink City" is spectacularly set within surrounding rugged hills, dotted with ancient ruined fortresses. Your tour will include the imposing City Palace, still home to the Maharaja although several of the rooms are now open to the public. Many antiques and artifacts belonging to the ruling family are housed here, including a collection of weaponry. You will also visit the Hawa Mahal "Palace of the Winds", and the open - air Jantar Mantar Observatory to see the vast astronomical instruments. Enjoy a stroll through the colourful bazaar before returning to your hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 09 : Jaipur to Delhi Drop
Today after breakfast we will chck out from Jaipur Hotel then drive to Delhi for Airport / Station for your Onward Journey Flight / Train
